  <p>Water-surface missed bites are the norm in Hirasuzuki (Japanese rocky-shore seabass) top-water games. On a surface whipped by waves and whitewash, the lure is pushed aside and hooks have trouble finding the fish’s mouth, easily leading to missed strikes.
