AB1 sport fishing rods are specially built for maximum performance, they are not made in bulk production, Each blank is built one by one and tested on a dyno. (geometric wall). It is a unique constructional concept and very exclusive, combined with the AB1 components. The companys philosophy out of the series of commercial dynamics provides the starting point of which each individual rod is made, dressed with sartorial quality and providing it with proven and certified mechanical specifications. AB1 designs and builds its products in a 100% closed supply chain, 100% made in Italy: blanks and components: statically tested in the laboratories and dynamically at sea with the team of experts and elite sport fishermen affiliated to the company. The decision to buy an AB1 product is like a decision to have a tailored made suit, because it dresses the passion of a sport fisherman. AB1 employs a staff of highly qualified consultants in sport fishing who listen to the customer's needs, interacting with AB1 engineers and Rod Builders: AB1 thus offers the prototype of what will be the finished product. Choosing to buy an AB1 Rod is transforming your technical ideas into an executive project that will be YOUR fishing rod, unique and personal because YOUR ego is YOUR passion. AB1 TACKLE builds all there products 100% in Italy.Within its own closed supply chain, it designs and builds all the necessary components: the AB1 full floating roller guide system (world wide Patented) , the AB1 curved and straight butts are in structural carbon fiber, the AB1 reel seat and, the AB1 fighting belt also in full carbon fiber.Innovative and covered by international patents, the AB1 roller guides have a joint system that accompanies the flexing of a blank, making the blank work naturally like if there were no rollers on it., working smoothly with no tension that your normal conventional rollers create when bending the blank, also giving the rod a more powerful rebound when in battle! The AB1 handle in full structural carbon fiber, being made of composite material, does not interrupt the action of the blank, the handle compliments the action of the blank and reinforces the rebound with a synthesized flex, thus giving the rod a single-barrel characteristics and also the practicality of being dismantled in two pieces. The AB1 reel seat in structural carbon fiber, built one by one layering the fabrics, does not interrupt the action of the blank at the fixing point, it flexes at the same time and increases the speed of the reaction. The AB1 structural carbon real seat, to be used with a single-stem blank, does not affect the designed action of the blank, interacts at 40° of flexion of the blank and gives a powerful thrust avoiding parabolic phenomena and power gaps. The structure of the ab1 blanks are layed out one by one. The composite materials for higher performance, for structural applications are those formed by a discontinuos phase consisting of fiber (carbon) and a continuos phase called matrix (polymer). The production technologies that provide for the combination of the matrix with fibers arranged according to the predetermined directions during the structural calculation phase, allow to make composites with mechanical properties finalized, that is: - the mechanical properties of fibers (carbon 1K 1000 microwires to build ONE) - their orientation - their length - the mechanical properties of the polymechanical matrix - the chemical properties of the matrix - the behavior of the interface between fiber and matrix (adhesion) Carbon fibers can be classified according to the precursor material used in the production phase, which can be pitch, rayon, PAN.Epoxy resins belong to the class of thermosetting resins and are prepared from low molecular weight and low viscosity agents so that they can easily engage the fibers.EPOXY RESINS are more expensive than the most common polyester or phenolic resins but, unlike these, they have a very high adhesion and better chemical resistance, as well as a high dimensional stability, a very important characteristic for a composite material.Generally carbon fibers are not used as they are but are processed with textile looms in order to obtain real fabrics (weft and warp interface). When the quantity of fibers in one direction (generally the warp) becomes predominant, UNIDIRECTIONAL FABRICS occur. These types of fabrics allow you to take full advantage of the mechanical characteristics of the fibers along precise directions.Along the other directions, fibers of different material may also be present in order to maintain the dimensional stability of the dry material without diminishing the drapeability.THE MAIN ADVANTAGE of UNIDIRECTIONAL FABRICS is the possibility of being able to POSITION the optimal quantity of fibers exactly WHERE THEIR PROPERTIES are required and are macroscopically STRAIGHT. AB1 TACKLE costruisce i propri componenti 100% made in Italy. AB1 MARBLE Prime Trolling

Gannet Plus is a floating jacket with a pocket on the Ganet Ballistic® (released in March 2021) that offers both mobility and storage capacity. By combining the thin body of Gannet with a thin pocket that can hold one 3010 NDM type lure box, we have overcome the drawbacks of many wading vests that the pockets interfere and it is difficult to see your feet.

This feature matches the fishing of the shore, which is mainly Langan, rather than the fishing of the offshore shore, which is carried out by setting up a base camp. We would like all anglers who enjoy rocky shore fishing such as rocky shore games, light games, and egging to wear it.

ARTICO APACHE TROLLING CHAIR 130 LBS

... the chair trolling Apache has arrived

MADE IN ITALY ROD Designed specifically for combat with the largest tuna in the ocean. A powerful and reliable tool made with the best components on the market.

The structure of the blank (made of Dynanotex carbon) is thin and light. When pulling the prey, the transfer of power occurs in a distributed mode: the upper part of the rod is rapid and efficient, precisely to accompany the fast departures of the fish, thus avoiding breakage of the leaders. The lower part of the stem, however, gives power and defines control of the prey during the recovery phase. For these reasons, Apaches are the most suitable rods for fighting the most powerful marine predators using light weight monofilaments. The rod is made in a length of 2.30 metres, which in our opinion is the most suitable for this type of fishing, but being an artisanal product made in Italy, we can modify the length at the customer's request.

Handle we opted for a long curved handle produced by AFTCO, model UNIBUTT UB6C from 130 lbs to unlimited

Roller We opted for Made in Italy rollers from the AB1 series, big foot model. The largest, most resistant and lightest on the market. These rollers have the ability to flex their axis, best following the flexion of the barrel during the fight

Cosmetics the product is handcrafted and made in Italy so we can make any type of fret or design on request. Tell us your colors and we will embroider the design on your cane

Grip All 130lbs are finished with a leather covered, hand stitched grip. Tell us your skin color and we will satisfy you

More than a rod, the chair is a true masterpiece.

The Dynanotex

With the Apache series we enter the world of the top of the ARTICO range, a series of tools where high technological skills, the most cutting-edge materials and the attention to detail typical of excellent Made in Italy craftsmanship are excellently mixed. When we talk about top-of-the-range products at ARTICO, the technology has only one name: Dynanotex. Dynanotex is a high modulus PrePreg carbon fabric (the carbon is the one of Ferrari origin used for F1) which is treated and overlaid in a completely different way compared to traditional processes. Carbon fabrics are monodirectional, the vast majority of companies overlap the fibers of the fabric in a longitudinal and transversal position to increase resistance to crushing and reactivity. ARTICO also adds angled insertions to this laying of the fibers, thus managing to give everyone the countless gear actions thus differentiate the models based on specific fishing needs. Thanks to this particular process, Dynanotex fabrics are obtained which allow the creation of blanks without "spine", i.e. blanks which always provide optimized working curves. The most obvious advantages obtained from this process are:

1) Less deterioration of fabrics, approximately 30% less than traditional ones

2) Greater resistance to efforts, approximately 40% more

3) Greater maneuverability

4) Greater reactivity of the tool, over 50% more than those currently on the market

Having a blank without a thorn available not only gives the rod correct action, but it will also be able to follow and absorb any twist imposed by the escaping fish, effectively eliminating the possibility of breaking the blank itself. ARTICO guarantees Dynanotex shells for 20 years! Trying these tools you will be surprised by their "reactivity", when subjected to traction they bend evenly but quickly return to their original position (straight), thus facilitating the recovery of large prey.

Cosmetics

Technology and craftsmanship are certainly strong points of ARTICO, but as good Italians the aesthetic aspect is also not underestimated. In addition to the technical characteristics, there are aesthetic and functional ones: the entire rod is customizable! Then you can also silk-screen your name or whatever you want on your tool. Finally, the ligatures can also be customised, in short: interno makes the Apaches making them unique, you will hardly find another fisherman with a rod like yours and if you silk-screen your name on it, that rod will be yours alone.

ARTICO APACHE 18-20 LBS WITH FUJI GUIDES

Only a true Italian Company has the ability to create a rod range able to completely satisfy the diverse needs of the Big Game Angler. The Apache range are handmade in Artico’s laboratory so we can proudly say that these rods are Made in Italy. The Apache Trolling was specifically designed and made for competition angling. We’re talking about a very technical product that is almost exclusively dedicated to the competition angler. The rods blank is built in Dynanotex carbon making it slim and light. During the fight the power of the fish is distributed evenly throughout the blank with the top of the rod remaining rapid and efficient in order to handle powerful runs from the fish but also to prevent breakages. The lower part of the rods blank gives power and defines the control on the fish in the recovery phase. The Apache’s series prove to be the most dedicated rods for fighting the oceans most powerful marine predators on light lines. The secret of this rod is in the use of a particular carbon, the Dynanotex.

The Dynanotex
With the Apache range we enter in the world of the Artico Gamma’s Top of the range tackle. Here elevated technological skill is combined with state-of-the-art materials and attention to detail that is typical of the Made in Italy artisanship. The Dynanotex is a Fluoroelastomer (fluorocarbon-based synthetic rubber) with coated graphite and Plant Will which is a high modulus carbon PrePreg (Ferrari Formula 1 Carbon) This is treated and then overlaid in a completely different way compared to traditional machining. Carbon tissue is unidirectional and whilst the vast majority of companies overlap tissue fibers in a longitudinal and transversal way (to increase the resistance to reactivity crushing) Artico adds an additional technique which also angles this overlay. This succeeds in producing countless rod actions and allows different models to be produced according to specific fishing needs.

Dynanotex allows the creation of blanks without “plug” namely a blank that when in action can provide a curve of work that is always optimized. The advantages of this are:

1-Lower carbon tissue deterioration, about 30% less than traditional methods.

2-Higher resistance to efforts, about 40% more.

3-Higher maneuverability

4-Higher reactivity of the tackle, more than the 50% compared to those are actually in commerce.

Having a “spine-less” blank not only aids the action of the rod but it also enables the angler to follow and absorb any twists or lunges of the fish during the fight which helps to nullify any chance of a breakage. Artico insures the Dynanotex blanks for 20 years! You will be amazed by the “reactivity” of the rods when they are under tension as they bend themselves in a distributed way yet immediately go back in their original position (straight) which makes it so easy during the battle with big fish.

The cosmetic
Artico’s strength is in its technology and craftsmanship work, though we are also proud of our aesthetics. According to Italian style standards this cannot be underestimated and our rods are both aesthetic and functional.

The Tips
The tips are fully customisable, you can choose a tip with Fuji Alconite rings placed in the classic manner “in line” or with the acid “spiral” method which allows the angler to fish with thinner wires and lower poundage. There is also the option for ALPS or Winthrop roller guides with titanium guides. Usually each angler prefers to equip the Apache Trolling from 6 to 30 lb with Fuji Alconite rings. While the Apache Trolling 50/80 or 130 lb are usually built with the Roller Alps or Winthrop. Here at Artico we produce everything ourselves and for this reason we believe we are the greatest rod builders in the world.

Fittings
You can choose what kind of handle you prefer, whether it be curved or straight, clad or Eva, the finest leather or even the Winthrop Butt. In conclusion we want you to know that on your demand all of the components can be personalized. We can print your name with silk-screen or customise the ligature colours. In the end, with an Artico Apache we want your rod to be unique and for that reason it is unlikely you will find two anglers with the same rod!

MATERIAL: High Modulus Dynanotex carbon.

These rods are exclusive, fully customizable and ensuring incomparable performance. The VV1031 BK is a high modulus carbon fabric prepreg (this carbon is the same used in Ferrari F1) that is treated and overlapped in a completely different way compared to conventional processes . The traditional carbon fibers are unidirectional, the vast majority of companies overlap the fibers in longitudinal and transverse position to increase the responsiveness and the rods resistance to crushing. Artico adds to this processing also an angle fiber insertions to confer to all rods countless different actions based on the type of fishing. Thanks to this particular process, Artico obtain an excellent fabrics of carbon that allow the realization of the blank perfectly calibrated on casting weights indicated. Each blank is individually tested to ensure maximum performance and reliability.

The nine differents high modulus carbon used for the rods construction

The Cosmetics
Surely the technology and craftsmanship are the strengths of the Artico, but also the good Italian appearance it’s not underestimated. Thanks to this particular processing we obtain excellent carbon fabrics that allow the realization of drums perfectly calibrated on the poundsets indicated. Each drum is individually tested to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
Yupik drums are manufactured using up to 9 different types of high modulus carbon to give the gear the most suitable action for the type of fishing they have to carry out.

Cosmetics
Certainly, technology and craftsmanship are strong points of Arctic, but as good Italians the aesthetic aspect is not underestimated.
