Fishing Hooks The sizes commercially available to cover all fishing needs. The number of the hook defines its size and the higher the number is, the better is the little the hook. For example, a hook of the number 1 is bigger than a 7 and the latter is bigger than a number 18. The size of the hooks for the freshwaters, should normally be from number 1 to number 28, where the first is for big fish and the last one is for fish fry. In the seawater where the fish are bigger, the numbering of the hooks changes, and is followed by a zero “0”. Then we have hooks type 1/0 or 8/0 and 15/0, and here the more the number increases, the more the hook becomes great. For example, a 1/0 is smaller than an 8/0. Eye or Flatten hook are the first major distinction we can make is between the hooks and loop the ones on the headstock. The choice of one solution or the other defines the type of knot that you are going to do to fix the hook to the line and this will determine the type of fishing to do. The use of hooks eye are generally used for fish as powerful, as you can tie them with knots resistant safe. Those with eye straight you are almost always at the bottom of the line, those with eye curved on the outside instead, you are in line at two or more of hooks, and then are fixed along the terminal and not at the end of the line.
